John Trivers & Elizabeth Myers will be guest lecturers at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal. They will be speaking to the class “Introduction to Life as a Professional Musician” on October 18th, 2013 at 1:35 pm. This course, taught by Professor Abe Kestenberg, features speakers from a wide variety of music professionals, describing their career path and offering guidance to the young musician.

In October, 2012, John Trivers was a guest speaker at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Speaking at Professor Jay Hewlin’s class “The Business of Music,” John shared with students his observations on how technology has impacted the career of the modern musician.

In January, 2013, Liz Myers will be teaching the UCLA Extension class “Composition for Commercials.” Students will build their own presentation video reel with commercials that they have scored while learning the particular style of composition and production necessary to succeed in the high-pitched world of advertising music. The Trivers Myers Music mentorship program called TM-2020 was established in 2009 for high school students of extraordinary talent who are interested in becoming professional musicians and who want to do something meaningful with their talent.
